OUR sincere thanks go out to everyone who has played a part in the efforts to ‘Keep The Bees On Track’ during 2017.
Although the club has been unable to compete in regular league racing, there has still been major interest in every event which has taken place.
We are delighted that the name of Coventry Speedway has continued to be recognised during the year, and we want to thank all involved for their extensive help and support.
In particular, our thanks go to:
*The promotions of Peterborough, Wolverhampton, Poole, Sheffield, Leicester and Birmingham for staging events bearing the Coventry name;
*All of the riders who have worn the famous race-jacket with such pride: Danny King, Jason Garrity, Kenneth Bjerre, Lasse Bjerre, Josh Bates, Lewis Kerr, James Sarjeant, Stefan Nielsen, Rory Schlein, Chris Harris, Adam Roynon, Ryan Terry-Daley, Luke Priest, Hans Andersen, Scott Nicholls, Kenneth Hansen, Joe Jacobs, Rob Shuttleworth, Martin Smolinski, Mitchell Davey, Broc Nicol, Ashley Morris, Dan Greenwood and David Wallinger.
*Our team managers at those meetings: Gary Havelock, Colin Pratt, Alun Rossiter, Laurence Rogers and Peter Oakes.
*And most especially to the supporters – both of Coventry and the staging clubs – for turning out in force and embracing the spirit in which these meetings were run.
We are involved in a lengthy and complicated process. But we have a club worth saving, and we won’t be giving up.
