THE BSPA have set up a special committee to look into the staging of the 2007 shared events, and hopefully return these meetings to their former glories.
The Committee will consist of: Jonathan Chapman (King's Lynn), Jim Lynch (Reading), Neil Machin (Sheffield) and Bob Brimson (Eastbourne).
BSPA Chairman Pete Toogood said: "It is no secret that over the past few years we have seen a decline on the gate figures at major events overall. We are not 100% sure of the reason for this but we need to turn it around and bring these events back to the forefront of their yearly calendars to sit alongside the British GP as 'must-see events'.
"I am sure that this committee headed by Jonathan Chapman, who is full of enthusiasm, will be able to turn it around and in years to come we will be hosting all of these events in front of packed stadiums."
The committee have their first meeting at the BSPA headquarters next Monday and will be involving the SRA on their discussions. The major event schedule should be completed early next year.
