COVENTRY supporters going back to the 1970s and beyond may well recall Roy Adams, who was the long-time mechanic for Nigel Boocock.
We have been informed that unfortunately Roy is very poorly in Walsgrave Hospital, where he is in Ward 33.
Roy is mentally very alert, but physically very frail. It would be much appreciated if he could receive one or two visitors, to assure him that he has not been forgotten for his contribution to the sport.
In addition, we are sorry to hear of the passing of former local radio reporter Tom Wadrop, at the age of 76.
Tom worked in the sports department of the old Mercia Sound (now Free Radio Coventry) and was a regular attendee at Brandon and at Bees away matches, filing audio reports which were typically heard after the 10pm news in the late-1980s and early-1990s. He also subsequently covered Coventry City FC for the station.
