IN association with Clean Cut Sports, we are delighted to make some classic meetings from the Bees’ past available to view in full.
We hope this will give supporters enjoyment and stir some memories especially through these long winter lockdown nights.
Our first offering takes us back almost exactly ten years to April 2011 and is, in fact, a double-header.
Amongst the highlights of our fixture list was often the home and away Bank Holiday clashes with our friends from Peterborough, and this particular Good Friday served up an absolute treat of action at both venues.
Therefore, we will be premiering the morning fixture from the Showground on Thursday January 28 (7.30pm), with the Brandon return on Friday January 29 (7.30pm).
The away fixture surely goes down as one of the very best meetings for quality of racing throughout the whole Elite League era, with an incredible finale; and the home match also had more than its fair share of drama and controversy with talking points galore!
The meetings came less than a month after the Bees and the Panthers were finally re-admitted to the Elite League after a winter of acrimony, and big crowds were present at both venues.
Coventry included the likes of Edward Kennett, Ryan Fisher and Przemyslaw Pawlicki, with club legend Chris Harris racing in the home fixture, whilst Peterborough were led by Nicki Pedersen and Troy Batchelor.
Full details of team line-ups and the link to view will be available on Thursday.
