THE Inquiry into the Brandon Estates appeal against rejection of planning permission has now been adjourned.
There have been seven days of sittings at Rugby Town Hall where a number of witnesses have been cross-examined and re-examined, along with various other statements and submissions being made.
The adjournment is due to an ongoing issue over NHS funding in the event that housing is granted, in regards to the section 106 agreement which would be the contribution to developers make to local services.
There will be no further evidence aside from this issue, and the date for resumption has been set for November 8, and is expected to last for two days.
Following section 106 matters, all three parties - the appelant, the Council and SCS - will have the opportunity to make closing submissions.
As the Inquiry is still 'live' it is inappropriate for us to make comment at this stage as to our views over recent events.
We do, however, invite you to look back on the proceedings via the Rugby Borough Council YouTube channel, where each day's sessions are available.
